"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." -Mathew 5:16(NKJV)
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us it's in everyone; and as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same, as we are liberated from our own fear. Our presence automatically liberates others." (From the movie Coach Carter)
We live our lives afraid of what may come of our commitment, our reckless abandon... WHY? We have been given an example and a call to live lives in such a way as to glorify God and yet we go about our days without reaching out, searching out, or finding out who in this desolate and dying world we can help!! We live lives not at all separate from the mainstream norm yet withdrawn from any positive involvement. We are influenced by evil rather than influencing for the good... When was the last time that a room was so dark that a single light was extinguished by it? In truth, even the dimmest of lights when put in an entirely dark void will cut through it with seemingly renewed strength, in essence the greater the dark the more penetrating the light... All around us are the living dead. People without hope, without love, without life and we are sitting on our hands covering our light and watching aloof as they march by to eternal misery!!! And we dare call ourselves Christians?!?!?!? Christians?!?!?!?! Are you kidding me?? I am ashamed of myself and the majority of my generation for our "Christianity" that cares only enough to not hurt anyones feelings while there are souls at stake!! Wake up my generation! Rise up my Generation! Find within you the passion, the strength, the light that has been planted in us by our Redeemer!!! Take a stand!! Be men so loving and strong and bold that you move the earth with each step you take!!!!! That each man that stands beside you finds strength and courage for this battle we fight!!! Be women so full of love and prayer and determination that you demolish the foundations of a world that tells you to be sex-icons, and toothpicks, and independent, but rather be needy... be so in need of God and his word which is truth that you turn to him with each thought, emotion, and concern... immediately!!! My brothers and sisters be the leaders that we are called to be!! Lean not on your own understanding any longer but rely on the only one who understands and controls all!!! Have a hunger for God's word as though starving and unfillable, for through it alone will we find the words to say, and the direction to go! I am not coming as one who has it figured out... rather as a man who is sick of being this way. Unite with me in redefining what it means to be a CHRISTIAN, a Christ-follower, through our actions and attitudes, our triumphs and failures, and our commitment to continue on this road we have been place upon. Thank you...
